HELP: tired hummingbird hawkmoth (Macroglossum stellatarum)

I found a hummingbird hawkmoth that was sitting on the ground due to inclement weather. Now that it's warmed up indoors it can fly again. Unfortunately, the weather is staying cold so I'm afraid it's missed its migration window. I'd like to keep it indoors until it dies of old age. It's still in mint condition so I suspect it has a lot of time left until that.

How can I feed it? I tried rubbing a drop of sugary solution against its proboscis but it didn't react.
