Tenebrio molitor (mealworm beetle) help

I didn't think that species could fly and yet she can glide really far. I also was unaware that they could lay eggs without a mate. Has anyone encountered either of these things? I have a single female, because for some reason the substrate I had some in LAST summer hatched eggs this summer. Sadly since I was unaware they all died or were eaten by her in order to survive. Makes me feel awful thinking about it. Picture of one of the eggs
