Kill and short-tern conservation of a coleoptera

Hi,

I captured a Green Tiger Beetle (Cicindela campestris). I want to give it to my father as a gift (he is the amateur entomologist). I need to take the plane, after the flight, I will be in a first part of a quarantine in an hotel room for 3 days (I don't know if there will be a small freezer in my hotel room, I doubt it).

To kill it before my flight, I will put it in the freezer. After, I wonder what would be the best way to kept it in best shape for 4 days without the insect been in a freezer?

I have isopropyl alcohol, in which I will be able to put the insect in a small glass bottle, but I heard that alcohol can alter colour and do damage to small "hair" on legs. The colour of this coleoptera is one of his nicest feature, so I don't want to jeopardize that.

Do any of you have advices/tricks for helping me? I would have ask my father about it, but I want to keep this a secret until I can give it to him in person.

Thank you!
