How do I dry out my beetle for preservation?

Hello! I'm interested to preserve my pet rainbow stag beetle that recently passed away. I want to try preserving it in hand sanitizer, but I know that I need to dry it out/preserve it in alcohol first as fresh samples don't work well.

However, I wasn't able to find a very good guide on how to dry out/preserve hard bodied specimens in alcohol online, so could someone help me out? For context, I live in a tropical climate, so that may be a challenge when it comes to drying specimens. Additionally, can I just place the beetle directly into 70% isopropyl alcohol? Do I need to take any precautions? Thank you!

tl;dr: how do i dry out/preserve my stag beetle in alcohol?
