I found these 3 little bugs the other day but didnt get any pictures, I was curious later to find out what they were so I have researched for a day and a half now and I am almost certain that they were Nabis Americanoferus. The look identical to what I remember these bugs looked like. Problem is every bit of info I find on this insect states they are 3/8" - 2/5" in size.
All three of these were definitely only about 1/4" in size maybe one of them was tad smaller. They couldn't have been instar/nymphs because they aren't the gray color that these were if they are in that stage, these had to be adult based on the gray color.
What are the odds I would find three of Nabis Americanoferus that were all under the size that every guide I can find on the species says they should be? Is it typical for insects to vary in size to this degree?
