Coleoptera field collection - best killing/preservation medium for multi-day trips

Does anyone have any experience and opinion on what killing/preservation medium works best for short multi-day collection trips into the field? I am currently looking to prep some 5ml tubes for my next collection trip (which may be for 2-5 days in the field). My experience has been with hand collecting and freezing after day trips.

Potential killing/preservation mediums:

  • Ethyl Acetate
  • Ethanol
  • Isopropyl Alcohol

Specimens will be pinned and will not likely ever be used in DNA extraction, but total preservation is preferred.
