How can I attract dermestid beetles

I’m trying to set up a dermestid colony for stripping bones and skulls but I’m struggling to find a vendor that ships overseas.

I was wondering if anyone knows how I might attract Dermestes maculatus if I was go down the route of getting beetles from the wild. What specific environment would be best to lay meat or part of a carcass? Would it be better to cover the meat? How likely am I to attract them at all? That kind of thing...
