A friend has had a recurring problem with these things that resemble fruit flies but with black eyes instead of red. When she swats them down these little mites crawl off of them. The fly itself is about 3 to 4 mm (about 1/8") long. The mites are less than 1mm. They appear in her kitchen, apparently near her sink. There are no fruits or other foods that are not in sealed containers. Everything is super clean. This is a condo complex in an urban area. Sorry for the poor quality photos. [link] [comments] |
