I'll be in Virginia's capital region at some point this week, in field and forest edge habitats. The weather is expected to be 50s and 60s in the daytime, and mid-30s at night. (In the US and in Fahrenheit).
What insects are likely to be active during daytime hours? I'm hoping to take advantage of the last days before nightly frost sets in to expand my insect collection, but I don't know what to expect given the time of year. If anyone can point me to a good resource for this information too, that would be appreciated.
