What is the significance of knowing the penetration rate of Entomopathogenic Nematodes if the mean percentage mortality of their killed insect is already given?

I’m working on a certain study involving entomopathogenic nematodes and I am wondering how is the penetration rate (recorded on the 3rd day) relevant to the study, when the mortality rate (recorded on the 2nd day) is already given?
