So. I’m not an entomologist. I’m just a writer. I was hoping to ask a few questions for research. The first one is this: if you found a new species of insect, how would study it? Say you found the first insect of a new species. Would you take it as a live capture or would you kill it to study its biology? What procedures are in place to help you study an insect while at the same time avoiding destroying its species, if it were in fact a new species?
