I’ve searched extensively online, but I haven’t seen any mention of people using Mod Podge (or brush-on/spray sealants in general) for coating a pinned insect to prolong its display life and/or appearance. Is there a reason not to? Might brushing something on damage the specimen (perhaps something dusty like a butterfly)? Specifically, I’m pinning a Green June Beetle I kept as a pet and that died naturally.
