I have a tank of Madagascar hissing cockroaches, I did a tank clean out yesterday and put in a new brick of coconut fiber as substrate. I checked them out today and I’m afraid my substrate is too wet- the paper towel tubes I have in there are clearly wet and almost all the roaches are piled in a small cup of oatmeal/a dry egg carton. Will too-wet substrate kill them? I didn’t realize it might be too wet until today! It’s not sopping/puddles, but I can see humidity on the bottom of the tank and side closest to the heater.
