Butterfly wings: meconium or hemolymph?

Hi everyone,

Apologies if this isn't the right place for this but I have a butterfly/lepidoptera related question! I was trying to look up how they unfold their wings after emerging from their chrysalis, but I couldn't find any official article/research publication on this. Most answers I found stated that they pumped either meconium or hemolymph in the veins - as these are two different fluids I was wondering which it was and if anyone had a good reference to cite?

Thank you!
