My boyfriend was raising a pink toes tarantula and it unfortunately died last night. He's very distraught and as my hobby involves a lot of resin casting I offered to preserve it for him. He's about the size of a dime, very small. I usually cast my resin inside a pressure pot, will that hurt the specimen?
What are the best ways of preparing it before casting, I've read a couple articles and watched a few youtube videos but they seem to have conflicting info.
In one I saw a comment about letting it dry in the sun while pinned down, then to spray it with modge podge sealer to preserve color before casting. Is this a good idea?
Some extra info: i plan on casting it inside of a D20 dice as he collects dice and my hobby is making them. I usually use a pressure pot at ~40 lbs psi I use alumilite 2 part clear casting resin
Any tips and advice to make sure I do this right is appreciated
