Hi everyone, I live in Connecticut and I collected a praying mantis egg sac in the beginning of March. The egg sac has hatched out baby mantids at least three times. The first time the babies were contained. The second time was a complete surprise and I had to catch baby mantids and set them free outside. I put the egg sac back into a container and it hatched a third time. My question is how do I know when a mantis egg sac is empty? Also, how many times can one egg sac hatch? Thanks for any insights.
